SEVERN CONTROLS TAKE PART IN CHARITY DRAGON BOAT RACE
Staff at Severn Controls supported C.L.I.C. Sargent, (Cancer and Leukaemia in Children) at the Dragon Boat Regatta Charity Day, held on Sunday 20 May 2007 at Gloucester docks. This is the 5th year that Severn Controls has supported this event.

Severn Controls staff, renamed as the Severn Seadogs, stood out in the crowds in their bright green caps and navy blue T-shirts, supplied by Severn Controls.
Fifteen companies took part in the morning regatta events, racing over a distance of 300 metres. The race which started near Llanthony Bridge finished where the Main Docks Basin crosses the Victoria basin.
Each race consisted of 3 teams racing against each other, each team raced 3 times: in each heat/race it was the time that counted, not who won the race. The best two times of each race were recorded with the top six teams going through to the semi final.
In the true spirit of the day, Severn Seadogs gave it their all and won places in all preliminary heats - unfortunately it was not quite good enough to make the finals this year! Severn Seadogs were well supported on the day, with family, partners, friends and work colleagues. It was a fine day and there was plenty of entertainment both on the dockside as well as in the water.
Total sponsorship raised for C.L.I.C. Sargent was £462!!
